The idea for The Grand Pages was born in mid-August 2026.

It was simple: a search engine and directory where money is the ranking system. Pay to get listed. Pay more, rank higher.

Then came another idea: why only pay for yourself? People could also support other Pages and compete to become their biggest supporters.

So, is the idea original?

Not really. Very few ideas are.

Similar concepts had been around for years. Back in 1886, someone invented a directory organised by category in which advertising was sold. I think it’s called the Yellow Pages.

Perhaps ideas don’t really belong to whoever thinks of them first. Perhaps they belong to everyone who does something with them. And perhaps being first isn’t what matters anyway.
