What the rankings mean

Every position on this site is determined by one thing: the total amount paid toward an entry. Rankings are not reviews, awards, audits or measurements. They do not express an opinion about quality, merit, safety or fact, and they are not editorial content.

An entry sitting in first place means money was paid. It means nothing else, and it should not be read as a recommendation.

Entries about businesses and people

Anyone can submit an entry, and nothing is checked before it goes live. An entry naming a business or a person is not a claim made by us about that business or person.

If an entry names you, or names something you are responsible for, you can ask for it to be removed using the removal link on the entry, and requests concerning a real person are handled first.

Payments

Payments buy a position on a board for as long as nobody outpays you. They are not a donation, not an investment, and not a purchase of goods or services. A payment cannot be withdrawn, and being outpaid is the expected outcome rather than a fault.

Where the money goes

Paying toward an entry is not financial support for the person, brand, club or institution named. No part of any payment reaches them. They receive nothing, are not consulted, and are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to this site in any way.

All revenue from every payment goes to the creator of this site. Nobody should pay here believing they are funding, sponsoring or donating to whatever they are paying for.

Certificates

Certificates are public. Anyone holding the link can view, download and print one, without an account and without the agreement of the entry named. A certificate records that a payment placed an entry at a rank at one moment in time. It is issued by this site alone, it certifies nothing about quality, and it is not an award.

City names used on this site come from the GeoNames geographical database, licensed under CC BY 4.0.

Contact

Removal requests, data requests and complaints all go through the forms on this site, which place them in the moderation queue.
