Sport Lisboa e Benfica was founded on 28 February 1904 in Belém and has played at the Estádio da Luz since 2003, on a site next to the ground it replaced. The club holds the Portuguese record of 38 league titles and won the European Cup in 1961 and 1962 under Béla Guttmann.
